This was my first seafood boil experience and the only thing I am mad about is that it took me so long to try this. THIS FOOD IS UNBELIEVABLY AMAAAAZING! Order delivery and it all comes in a bag FULL OF FLAVOR, fresh, not spicy(because I asked for it and was afraid of spicy) and well served. I can't say anything about ambiance since I was not in the restaurants but can't wait to go there and try different options in the menu. I had a pound of crawfish and 1/2 pound shrimp with corn and broccoli. This is life changing. I know many people have tried this kind of food, but since I am not from here and we don't usually have this in South America I can't explain enough how I loved this experience.
Very friendly staff. Fried soft shell crab starter for $14 came with about ten small crispy soft shell crabs which were pretty dang fishy. The aioli was pretty good and was a remoulade I think.
I love seafood boils and Lees has great ones. They have many seafood and menu options. They have blue crab, mussels, clams, shrimp and more. Fried baskets, fries and oysters are also options. They also have a great lunch special where you can get a delicious Po Boy and drink $10. I recommend especially if you are a student!
We are in town for a "New student and parents" event at CWRU. Came in on a Saturday night (although it was February and 15 degrees out so not a lot of folks out and about) and were seated right away. The seating is comfortable and the interior has an informal decor. Multiple TVs over the bar area mostly tuned to basketball as it was NBA All Star weekend when we visited. Food was really delicious. We started with: Fried oysters Cheese bread and Corn fritters Then a king crab/shrimp combo and a snow crab/ shrimp combo. Both ordered at medium heat (spice) level. Everything delicious. The one warning to know before going in is that you will get messy! Despite the bibs. The boils are served in big double plastic bags placed right on the table. If you are ready to roll up your sleeves and enjoy some delicious seafood this is your place. Bonus is that it is right near campus and a short walk from out hotel.
Crawfish anyone?? This place is no joke when it comes to seafood! The aesthetics of the place are great. Lots of TVs and plenty of seating. The cleaning crew must be on their toes in order to keep the place looking and smelling good. There is lots to explore on the menu. Crawfish was delicious. Plus, it gave me the opportunity to look my food in the face before I ate it.
The place was super clean and the staff was very helpful and attentive. Our server, Dallas, was very friendly. She got us seated and served quickly. The food was so good and flavorful. Will definitely be back again.
